“The Shape of the Virtual and the Real” — Translating Bored Apes into Sculpture in the Blockchain Era
In an era where virtual assets surge forward, NFTs are no longer just tokens. They are symbols of identity, badges of community, and a revolution of digital originality. Among them, the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) has become an iconic figure of this cultural wave.
This time, commissioned by a seasoned collector, I was tasked with materializing his Bored Ape into physical form. More than a sculptural challenge, it was an experimental journey into how digital existence can evolve into tangible belief.
The core of this piece lies in embodied identity. The Bored Apes already represent a fusion of status, attitude, and Web3 community values. What I sought to do was infuse physical weight and texture into a blockchain-born character — transforming something intangible on-chain into a sculpture with temperature, tactility, and presence.
I chose mixed media for this work: metal to represent the immutability of the blockchain, and resin for the plasticity of data. This isn’t just a statue — it’s a moment crystallized in time, a milestone of digital culture crossing into physical reality.
I’ve always believed that the essence of art lies not in its materials, but in how it carries and transforms value.
When an NFT gains a sculptural body, it ceases to be merely a digital asset — it becomes a cultural symbol with physical influence.
That was my intent behind this work: to give blockchain revolution a body, and let the soul of code grow bones and breath through sculpture.
This is not just an exploration of the boundary between virtual and real —
it’s an artistic and technological fusion.
And the materialization of Bored Ape? It's only the beginning.
《虛實之形》——無聊猿實體化的創作理念與區塊鏈時代的轉譯行動
在虛擬資產風起雲湧的當代，NFT 不再只是代幣，它是身份的象徵、社群的徽章、數位原創的革命。而無聊猿（BAYC, Bored Ape Yacht Club）正是這場潮流中的標誌性角色。
這次，我受一位資深收藏家的委託，將他所擁有的無聊猿收藏「實體化」。這不僅是一項雕塑工藝的挑戰，更是一場關於「數位存在如何成為真實信仰」的創作實驗。
這件作品的設計核心是「身份具象化」。無聊猿系列本身就蘊含著身份、態度與社群價值的結晶，它們是 Web3 時代的數位面具。而我所要做的，是將這個來自虛擬世界的角色，注入重量與質感，讓它從無形的鏈上存在，成為一尊有溫度、有觸感、能佔據空間的藝術實體。
我選擇用混合媒材呈現這次的創作：金屬象徵區塊鏈的不可竄改，樹脂象徵資料的可塑性。這不只是一隻雕像，更是一段歷史的定格——一個從鏈上跳躍進現實世界的里程碑。
我始終相信，藝術的本質從不是材質，而是傳遞與承載價值的方式。
當 NFT 擁有了雕塑的身體，它就不再只是數位產品，而是一個擁有物理影響力的文化符碼。
這正是我創作這件作品的初衷——讓區塊鏈的革命，落地生根，讓代碼的精神，在雕塑中長出骨骼與靈魂。
這是一場虛實之間的邊界探索，也是一場藝術與科技聯姻的實驗。

仮想資産が急速に拡大する現代、NFTはもはや単なるトークンではありません。
それは「アイデンティティの象徴」であり、「コミュニティのバッジ」であり、そして「デジタル創造の革命」でもあります。
その象徴的な存在の一つが、Bored Ape Yacht Club（BAYC）です。
今回私は、ある熱心なコレクターの依頼を受け、彼の所有するBored Apeを**実体化（＝彫刻化）**することになりました。
それは単なる造形の挑戦ではなく、「デジタル存在がいかにして信仰へと昇華するか」というテーマへの実験的アプローチでした。
この作品の中心にあるのは、アイデンティティの具象化です。
BAYCのキャラクターは、すでにWeb3時代の「地位・態度・価値観の結晶」です。
私はこの仮想世界から生まれた存在に重みと質感を注ぎ込み、「無形のデータ」を「触れることのできる芸術」へと昇華させようとしました。
素材には金属（ブロックチェーンの不変性の象徴）と樹脂（データの可塑性の象徴）を選びました。
それはただの像ではなく、時代の記録であり、チェーン上の記号が現実世界へ飛び出す瞬間の彫刻です。
私は常に、芸術の本質は素材そのものではなく、**「いかに価値を伝達し、体現するか」**にあると信じています。
NFTが彫刻という「身体」を持った瞬間、それはもはやデジタルプロダクトではなく、物理的な影響力を持つカルチャーコードとなるのです。
この作品を通して目指したのは、ブロックチェーンの革命を地上に落とし込むこと。
コードの魂が、骨と呼吸を持つまで。
これは「虚」と「実」の境界を揺さぶる試みであり、
アートとテクノロジーの交差点を歩む実験でもあります。
