A Collection Awakening the Pirate Spirit
Gunpowder was invented in China, yet it was the West that ruled the seas.
Admiral Zheng He set sail decades before Columbus, yet he never colonized—because his mission wasn’t to explore, but to pacify and intimidate.
The Ming dynasty’s ban on maritime and overland expansion stemmed from a fear: that prosperity would breed rebellion.
Figures like Wang Zhi, Lin Daoqian, and Lin Feng—commanders who could rival
Western naval powers—were once revered by the people as heroes,
yet executed by the imperial court for defying the system. Meanwhile,
Western empires were nurturing pirates, elevating them into state-backed naval forces, laying the foundation for trade routes and global dominance.
Our history chose repression over expansion. It taught us to fear ambition,
to idolize moderation, and to suppress desire—killing creativity and the pioneering spirit in the process.
Moderation is a man-made virtue designed to suppress the ambition of the great.
But the pirate spirit was never just about plunder. It was about breaking rules,
embracing desire, and refusing to be tamed.
This collection is a tribute to the willpower history tried to erase—meant to awaken the fire in your soul that’s long been waiting to set sail.
被時代盜走的意志
中國發明火藥，卻沒能主導海洋。鄭和早於哥倫布遠航，卻未曾殖民，因為他的任務並非探索世界，而是維穩與震懾異邦。明朝的海禁、陸禁，其實都源於對人民「因富有而叛變」的恐懼。
王直、林道乾、林鳳——這些能與西方海權匹敵的將領，曾被民間視為英雄，卻因挑戰體制而被朝廷處決。與此同時，西方國家正大力扶植海盜，將他們納為國家武力，建立了貿易與霸權的基礎。
我們的歷史選擇了壓抑與封鎖，造就了對慾望與進取的恐懼。教育我們知足、節制，壓抑野心，結果是讓創造力與開拓精神凋零。
節制，是用來壓抑偉人野心的人造美德。
海盜精神，從不是掠奪，而是勇於破格、敢於擁抱慾望。
這些作品正是為了喚醒那被歷史偷走的意志，點燃觀者心中早該啟航的渴望。
Ship Wheel Necklace – The Anthem of Negative Energy
French philosopher François de La Rochefoucauld once said:
“Moderation is a virtue invented to curb the ambition of great men, and console ordinary
men for their lack of it.”
No matter how noble your motivation may appear, its origin is desire.
Suppressing desire doesn’t make you a saint—it simply means you’re evading the lesson desire came to teach.
I combined the silhouette of a censer (incense burner) with pulley mechanisms, visually controlled by the ship wheel beneath it.
This signifies one thing:
all dreams are steered by hunger and want—whether we admit it or not.
船舵項鍊 - 負能量之歌
法國思想家佛朗索瓦‧德‧拉羅什福柯說 : 「節制是一種用以牽制偉人野心，安撫凡人甘於貧窮與平庸的人造美得。」無論你如何美化你的動機，都無法改變它的原型，慾望。別以為壓抑的了慾望就是聖人，你只是選擇逃避慾望交給你的功課。我融合香爐的輪廓和滑輪的機構，並且讓它看起來像是受控於下方的船舵，意味著，所有夢想的都是由貪求、慾望掌舵的，無論你承不承認。
Mine Necklace – Fortune Favors the Fearless
I placed a coin—symbol of dreams—
at the center of a naval mine. Surrounding it are skulls representing fallen companions
who dared to chase the same path. The message:
“Great reward comes only through great risk.”
Only trials will reveal the rarest of treasures.
水雷項鍊 – 富貴險中求
我用錢幣來代表夢想，並把它放在水雷區裡，而穿插在其中的骷髏，代表已經陣亡的同路人。希望觀者能了解"富貴險中求"的寓意。想要最好的，就得走最崎嶇的路，因為只有”考驗”會給你最珍貴的寶藏。
Skull Ring – The Pirate’s Faith
“I may still be far from my goal, but I know I’ll get there.”
This unshakable belief—that is true freedom.
Suffering’s reward is not relief, but a soul that cannot be broken.
This ring uses simple elements: a decaying skull with mechanical brain and eyes,
symbolizing the pirate’s enduring mindset—freedom as a way of thinking that never dies.
骷髏戒指 – 海盜精神
”雖然我現在距離目標還很遠，但我知道我遲早可以達成。”這種自信才是真正的自由。而折磨會給你的獎賞，正是這種自由的靈魂。這個戒指使用的元素很簡單，一個腐爛中的骷髏，只有腦袋與眼睛是機械的，象徵著自由這種不朽的心態。
Skull Necklace – Thought Zombie
Everyone has moments of wild inspiration—
but there’s always that voice saying, “Don’t be stupid.”
Most crazy ideas never even get a chance.
Society gives us boxes, and most people are content living in them—nailed shut, sealed, obedient.
This necklace is a reminder:
Don’t be a zombie of thought.
Break the rules.
Think sideways.
Be a pirate.
骷髏項鍊 - 思想殭屍
每個人都會有產生瘋狂點子的時刻，只是總有一個聲音會告訴我們，別傻了。因此那些瘋狂，連嘗試的機會都沒有就被扼殺了。社會給了我們各種框架，而大部分的人也依賴這些既定的思路，放棄思考，就像插了釘子一樣被封印著。我希望擁有這件作品的人可以透過它來警惕自己，學習打破規則，不按牌理出牌，像個海盜。
Anchor Necklace – Anchor of Death
At first glance, you’ll see a cross-shaped gravestone engraved with the Chinese character
for "death," pierced into the earth with a skull nearby. This implies:
When you drop anchor, when you stop moving—your dream dies too.
But flip it upside down, and you’ll see a temple swallowed by waves—
a symbol of pulling up the anchor to face the storm.
The message I wish to convey:
“Born in adversity, die in comfort.”
A pirate’s life is not meant to be calm.
Choose comfort, and your soul will rot.
船錨項鍊 – 死亡之錨
當你正看這個船錨項鍊時你會發現，我使用的元素是一個十字的墓碑，上面刻著一個亡字，下方插入土壤，並且有骷髏在旁邊。意味著當你放下船錨，停止追逐，夢想也會跟著死亡。如果你倒過來看會看見原本的船錨下方，是一座被大浪包圍的廟宇，象徵著收起船錨，迎接挑戰。
生於憂患，死於安樂。是我想透過這個作品傳達的意念，海盜的人生怎能無風無雨?選擇安逸，靈魂也會跟著消逝。
Coin Ring – The Eye of Greed
The eyes are windows to the soul. Whether someone carries the courage of a hero—you can see it in their gaze.
This ring is built from the image of an eye:
A square-oled ancient coin forms the iris, representing dreams. The hole at its center is the pupil.
Surrounding it are pirate skulls as the iris fibers, and wave patterns on the shank
become bloodshot veins.
Fix your gaze on your dream.
Don’t be confused by obstacles.
Don’t lose focus in doubt.
That is the pirate’s way.
錢幣戒指 - 強慾之眼
眼睛是靈魂之窗，一個人有沒有豪傑的魄力，看眼神就知道。這枚戒指的設計是由眼球延伸發展出來的，整體戒面是一個外圓內方的古代錢幣，象徵夢想。錢幣內部的方形孔洞是瞳孔，環繞在瞳孔周圍的海盜骷髏是虹膜，而戒身側面的海浪紋路則代表著血絲。死盯著夢想，不因困難而迷惑，不因迷惘而失焦是我想要透過這枚戒指傳遞的態度。
